Best kayak ever! The SW125 is the most stable kayak I have ever been in. I can stand up and If I want to pedal or paddle I have my choice. The greatest fishing or just riding kayak anyone will ever own. It handles very well in smooth water just as well as choppy water. The dream kayak of all kayaks.

The open deck concept allows you to keep it ultra simple or fully rig the boat until your heart's desire. Weather you are paddling, using the XD Drive or the Bixpy the SW125 will get the job done and not break the bank!!!!
The Shearwater 125 is a nice boat with a lot of good features. The Bixpy drop on motor is nice for the rudder. However, I would suggest getting an upgraded rudder if you are pedaling or paddling it. After looking at the Xdrive I picked up a Hobie mirage as my pedal drive and I have not been disappointed. The boat is stable, paddles well and is quite comfy. The rudder handle in the kit from vibe is really short I recommend getting the upgrade from Yakgear. In conclusion the boat is nice but could use some upgrades to improve basic performance.
I've been enjoying my SW 125 for almost 2 years now, no issues whatsoever. I like the stability, and the speed I get with my bixpy on it; overall, a great choice for the money. The rudder could be somewhat better but I can't complain much about it. Plenty of rod storage, back / forth storage and great overall design.
