I would recommend this if new to the sport because you can compare the feel and handling, rather than buyer's remorse. In my case, the NuCanoe Frontier 12 was the perfect choice for the trout and small mouth bass fishing we enjoy in Northeast Arkansas. Our local dealer, ROX Outfitters in Highland, AR rented me a boat and then helped me set up everything needed for a great experience. I love the extra width (41") and excellent handling of the Frontier 12 over anything I tried. Fitted with a trolling motor for ease of fishing, the boat handles easy and allows me to go upstream in shallow water or run the rapids going down river to key spots. Finally, the customer service has been exceptional! When outfitting, I wanted to make several custom modifications to fit my needs, and the service people at NuCanoe were fantastic. I explained what I was trying, and they went out of their way to accommodate my requests for accessories and always exceeded expectations when it came to orders, communications, and problem solving.
