We began our adventure in 1982 as a small family owned business that made a single two person pedal boat. Since then we have grown to become North America’s leading manufacturer of kayaks and outdoor recreational products. Despite our growth, we are proud to still manufacture our products in that same small town along the beautiful sunset coast of Lake Michigan. Like us, our home town of Muskegon MI has grown some over the years but that friendly, small town feel still remains. We’re proud of our home and we’d like to share some of that small town spirit with you.

Excellent fishing kayak I have the Sun Dolphin Boss 12 kayak. It is well thought out and made with high quality materials. It is equipped with all the fishing accessories that most fishermen could want. I have taken it even further with remote control Minn kota 30 C2 and all the electronics, lights and accessories you could ever want. The seat deserves special mention. It is very well made and comfortable. Its a full stadium seat with high/low position and high quality vented mesh covering, similar to that used on a Hobbie. The seat can even flipped back to create a very large, flat fishing deck. Other features that make this kayak great: - Very stable stand up fishing platform - Tracks and handles very well - Well laid out for fishing with 5 rod holders, tracks and tie down cleats - Large flat fishing deck with non skid padded deck pads - Two large storage hatches with liners - The front hatch holds two 35AH deep cycle batteries and all electronics - Plenty of fore and aft space with tie downs for gear, boxes and equipment - Extremely strong laminated hull construction Summary: I'm a very critical thinking mech. Eng. I find the Sun Dolphin Boss 12 to be one of the absolute best values on the market at this time.
